Back to Le Saleya again and ordered some different dishes to try (but the foie gras is a must get every time). My previous dinner here was great and Le Saleya surprised me with even more great dishes tonight. This is an excellent place for French food in Shanghai.
Terrine de Foie Gras (RMB¥98 for 100g, RMB¥198 for 200g; 100g shown)
Recommend: always
I can’t emphasize how good the foie gras here is. So fatty. The plate came with sweet onions this time (candied prune last time) and I loved the balance of sweet and savory. Spread the foie gras and onion on the complimentary bread–just perfect. I think I will become a regular here just to eat this.
Frisée aux Lardons (RMB¥68) bacon, croutons, and poached egg
Recommend: yes
Hmm pork belly is always a yes. And a poached egg? This is definitely my type of salad and a very good one at that.
Beef Filet (RMB¥158) with black pepper sauce
Recommend: yes
An excellent piece of beef that was cooked just right and a nice, strong peppery sauce to go with it.
Medium rare. Just right.
Pork Chop (RMB¥138)
Recommend: yes
Pork chop for me because I am one myself. Great sauce.
