What to get:
– 烧椒皮蛋 Fried Green Pepper and Pidan Egg with Cayenne Pepper
– 孜然排骨 Chef’s Special Hunan Style Spareribs
Hunan cuisine–the food here is either a little bit spicy or a lot spicy. Nothing is not spicy. Get plenty of white rice.
烧椒皮蛋 Fried Green Pepper and Pidan Egg with Cayenne Pepper (RMB¥15)
Recommend: yes
Pidan (century egg) is always good and even better when mixed with these peppers. Great starter.
天然海蜇 Natural Jelly Fish with Special Sauce (RMB¥28)
Recommend: yes
Jellyfish is usually an automatic pick when eating Chinese. Pretty good version here.
孜然排骨 Chef’s Special Hunan Style Spareribs (RMB¥58)
Recommend: definitely
This is the signature dish here. Super good flavoring. Must get!
麻婆豆腐 Spicy Mapo Tofu (RMB¥28)
Recommend: yes
Eat this with white rice.
牛蛙 Cayenne Pepper on Steamed Bullfrog (RMB¥48)
Recommend: no
The bottom of this pan has small fire to keep cooking it at the table. The longer you let this cook, the spicier it will get so watch your time. There were a lot of garnishes in here and not too much bullfrog.
Hi there, this place REALLY looks good. Google maps doesn’t find it. Is there any way you can give me additional pointers? I am going to eat through your incredibly super monstrously cool list of local places! Thanks so much, Matt
I recommend using Baidu maps if you can read Chinese — the map is way more accurate than google maps. The intersection is Changle Road x Maoming South Road near the Jinjiang hotel.
Hi! I did a quick search on baidu but I’m not great at Chinese – do you happen to know if this restaurant is open for lunch as well?
This branch opens for lunch at 11:00am
