虾肉小馄饨 Little Wontons with Shrimp Filling (RMB¥12)
My mom and I each ordered a bowl of this. I tend to like little wontons whereas my mom likes big wontons. The difference is exactly what it sounds like: little wontons have thinner wrapper and less filling whereas big wontons have thicker wrapper and more filling. It is just a matter of personal preference.I am a little particular about my wontons and a lot of shops in Shanghai tend to use pre-made frozen wontons. The wontons here tasted fresh and not frozen. The soup was simple but flavorful.
There were little shrimplings in the soup. Cute or creepy, I don’t know. But it was tasty.
