[Shanghai] Coquille (2)
I find that if I am particularly fond of a restaurant, there is inevitably a second review where I try to taste the rest of the menu. So here I am, Coquille round 2.
[Shanghai] Hai Pai 海派 at Andaz Xintiandi
Hai Pai 海派 is a restaurant inside the Andaz Xintiandi serving up modern Shanghainese food. It is great and affordable hotel food without an expense account.
[Shanghai] BANG by Mr Willis
Recently opened BANG by Mr Willis consists of a cafe on one side and a sit-down casual Italian eatery on the other side whose menu consists of antipasti, bruschetta, pasta, pizza, and meat.
[Shanghai] Sushi Oyama 鮨 大山
Trying to retell this experience is next to impossible because the taste of Oyama is indescribable euphoria.
[Shanghai] Early Hour @ el COCTEL
RMB¥10 oysters at el COCTEL during Early Hour from 5:30-8:00pm every day!
[Shanghai] Urban Thai
Recently soft-opened Urban Thai on Dagu Rd is the second addition to the Urban Thai family. Delicious Pad Thai and mango sticky rice awaits.
[Shanghai] The Grumpy Pig
The Grumpy Pig serves mainly pork-based dishes. I really wanted to like this place but it was a let down.
[Shanghai] Jianguo 328 建国328小官
Jianguo 328, named after its address, is a tiny Shanghainese restaurant on Jianguo Road. I was underwhelmed given the buzz and queue around this place.
[Shanghai] Lao Sheng Chang 老盛昌 (2)
Lao Sheng Chang 老盛昌 is one of my favorite local (and cheap!) eats in Shanghai featuring some of my favorite foods: soup dumplings, small wontons, and scallion oil noodles.
