The Sailor's Fish & Chips

[Shanghai] The Sailors Fish & Chips

Yongkang is practically college town for those who want to relive but are definitely beyond their college years… ahem. The fish and chips are nothing to boast about but are passable munchies if you are on Yongkang.

Yang's Dumplings 小杨生煎

[Shanghai] Yang’s Dumplings 小杨生煎

Shengjianbao is a must-have in Shanghai and Yang’s Dumplings 小杨生煎 is a must-try place for these.

[Shanghai] Madison (2)

I like my local Chinese food but when I need my American brunch fix, I go to Madison.

Char Shanghai

[Shanghai] Char

Char is a steakhouse located on top of Hotel Indigo on the Bund. It is a posh and impressive date spot (pay attention guys). Like many high end restaurants on the Bund, it has spectacular atmosphere, service, and view. The food matches it. This place definitely makes a statement.

[Shanghai] Lao Zheng Xing 老正兴

[Shanghai] Lao Zheng Xing 老正兴

Food was okay but as far as Shanghainese food is concerned, I wouldn’t come here over 上海人家 Shanghai Ren Jia or 外婆家 The Grandma’s.

Maison de L'Hui Afternoon Tea

[Shanghai] Afternoon Tea at Maison de L’Hui 慧公馆

While Maison de L’Hui does not have a view from the 3000th floor of the Park Hyatt, afternoon tea in Sinan Mansions offers a peaceful retreat from bustling life in Shanghai.

Yuan Yuan Shanghai

[Shanghai] Yuan Yuan 圆苑

All you can eat dim sum for RMB¥58. This is not the greatest dim sum you will have but it is good enough for RMB¥58.

Maya Shanghai

[Shanghai] Maya 玛雅 (Brunch)

Maya is an excellent brunch place with good atmosphere, food, and service. Bottomless drinks available.

Madison Shanghai

[Shanghai] Madison

This is one of the most legit brunch menus I have seen in Shanghai and the rest of the world. I wanted everything on this menu. The food here tasted luxurious yet comfortable at the same time. It felt like I was back in New York getting brunch on the weekend.

Sproutworks Shanghai

[Shanghai] Sproutworks 豆苗工坊

Sproutworks offers salads, sides, and paninis. This place reminds me of Whole Foods but without the groceries.
