What to get: Eggs Norwegian
Get the Eggs Norwegian. That is all. Just skip to the end.
Caffè Latte (Cup $4.75; Bowl $5.50)
Banana Wanut Donut ($2)
Recommend: no
I expected fried donut but this turned out to be more of a cake donut. The donut was a bit dry and the icing made it super sweet. Though this came highly recommended, I can’t say it was anything special.
Brioche French Toast ($19) with applewood smoked bacon
Recommend: no
The toast was a bit dry and I would have liked it to be a bit more eggy. I have had much much much better french toast elsewhere and will not be getting this next time. The bacon was okay.
Eggs Norwegian ($22) poached eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise on an English muffin
Recommend: definitely
FYI: Eggs Norwegian is basically Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon instead of ham/bacon
This dish alone guarantees another visit from me. The hollandaise sauce made this dish; it was very distinctly sour creamy, which went well with the smoked salmon. The English muffin was moist and soaked up the yolk and sauce nicely. This dish really doesn’t get any better than this anywhere else. Every Eggs Benedict/Norwegian I have from now on will be benchmarked against this. Really well executed all around. I will come back again just for this.
