Date visited: 2013.01
Total bill: ~$40 + tip per person (a la carte selections)
Will return: Definitely
We came here for lunch without a reservation (our bad) and were told the wait would be about an hour. The other plans we had that day were shopping and more eating so we were flexible (we got our priorities straight). But we only waited for about 20 minutes and a table opened up ^_^.
Hatsuhana uni, tamago, hamachi, hamachi toro, and shiro ebi |
Hatsuhana has great lunch combo sets but my friend and I both wanted to eat uni so we opted for a la carte in order to select our own pieces. They ran out of toro womp womp so here’s what I had:
– 1 shrimp (shiro ebi, raw baby white, Japan)
– 1 yellowtail (hamachi, Japan)
– 1 yellowtail toro
– 3 sea urchin (uni, California)
– 1 egg omelet (tamago)
In addition to my own pieces, my friend and I split a tuna roll. Every piece tasted high quality. The bill came out to be around $40 + tip for my portion, which is extremely reasonable considering my greedy uni habit.
