Katz’s Delicatessen | katzsdelicatessen.com | Yelp
Address: 205 E Houston St (Lower East Side), New York, NY 10002
Date visited: 2013.06
Total bill: $40 for two people
What to get: Pastrami Reuben everyday
Just as good as my previous visit to Katz’s. Remember: choose pastrami, bring plenty of cash, and don’t lose your ticket or you will be very sorry.
Pastrami Reuben ($18.20)
This is always a must.
Matzo Ball Soup + Half Sandwich Combo ($15.35)
I opted for half a sandwich and matzo ball soup. This is a good option if an entire sandwich is too big for you.
Matzo ball is usually made from matzo meal (ground unleavened bread), egg, and fat and served in a vegetable and chicken soup base. Very hearty and delicious, just like my friend’s mother’s matzo ball soup!
